Mr. Isaac Joshua

Head of School of Tourism and Hospitality
MDIS Singapore

Mr. Isaac Joshua is currently the Head of School for MDIS School of Tourism and Hospitality in Singapore. Part of his role also requires supporting the Tourism and Hospitality Faculty in MDIS, Uzbekistan and MDIS, Malaysia too. Prior to this, he was the Head of Academics of a regional hospitality school called SDH Institute which offers the hospitality management curriculum from Vatel, France. His current portfolio includes overseeing the academic team, curriculum design, spearheading active learning strategies & training for the hospitality industry, supervision of global internship & employment matters and enhanced collaboration with the local and international hospitality industry.

Mr Isaac started his career in the hospitality industry during his teenage years and has since accumulated extensive experience in most facets of hospitality management in both the domestic and international hospitality arena. He has also managed official hospitality events for various Ministries in Singapore before moving on to oversee a European chain of luxury restaurants within Asia in the capacity of Operations, Training & Development Manager.

Mr. Isaac holds a Master of Training and Development from Griffith University, Australia, and a MBA (Hospitality Management) from EU Business School, Switzerland. His Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality & Tourism Management was received from Queen Margaret University. A fervent believer in lifelong learning, he has completed his Specialist Diploma in Applied Learning and Teaching (SDALT) from Republic Polytechnic, WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education from IAL and Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He is a recognised Industry Trainer and Specialist Adult Educator by IAL/SUSS. He is also a member of the Food & Beverage Managers’ Association (FBMA), Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) and Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore (ABSS).
